Kansas City Blues D3 vs Columbia Outlaws - Saturday October 5th at Columbia, MO

Mother Nature could not have been more cooperative as the Kansas City Blues second side took the pitch against the Outlaws of Columbia, MO. The rain held off, and the pitch was a perfect 70 degrees at kickoff.
Quickly working the ball from set piece to the far sideline, scoring started 3 minutes in to the contest with a try to Blues captain, Scott McAvoy. That would be his first of two on the day.

It was a bit of a shootout between the two sides with Blues Casey Cummings, Ryan Ellison, Cedric Keith each scoring tries, and flyhalf Connor Burke putting a total of 11 points on the board. Several strong defensive stands, and heads-up plays kept the Blues ahead for the length of the bout. The Columbia men answered some of the Blues scores, but came up short, in the end losing 36 points to 22.

Excellent back line performance by TK and man of the match, Dairyess Collier as their speed and ball-handling at the perimeter proved to be a consistent threat throughout the match. This win bring the Blues D3 team to a season record of 2 and 1, and they will be looking toward a rematch against a previously defeated Bombers side in St. Louis this upcoming weekend.
